Zagreb, 18 November 2009 – The Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia (UATUC), Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (HNS), Croatian Trade Union Association (HUS) and the Association of Workers’ Trade Unions of Croatia (URSH) will organize a public discussion about the final draft of the Labour Code on Thursday, 19 November 2009 at the main square in Zagreb, Ban Jelačić Square, starting at 08:30.

The speakers will be: Ana Knežević - UATUC President, Krešimir Sever, NHS President, Ozren Matijašević – HUS President and Damir Jakuš – URSH President.

At the same time some trade union representatives will distribute leaflets to MPs in front of the building of the Croatian Parliament, before the beginning of its 15^th session. The participants in the public discussion at Ban Jelačić Square will, after hearing the addresses of trade union leaders, head towards the building of the Croatian Parliament (Mark’s Square). Presidents of trade union confederations, which organized the public discussion, will request to be received by the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Luka Bebić.
