Start of the project "Strenghtening the tripartite social dialogue in Croatia"
Zagreb, 22 September 2014 - The Tripartite conference on social dialogue in Croatia, held at the Hotel International, marked the beginning of the project „Strengthening tripartite social dialogue in Croatia“, which is coordinated by the Ministry of Labour and Pension System in cooperation with the Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia and the Croatian Employers’ Association, and with the Norwegian partners the Norway Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises (NHO).
The aim of the Conference was the following: the members of the Economic and Social Council at the national level, together with experts in the field of industrial relations and the Norwegian colleagues, were to identify the fundamental problems in functioning and operation of the social dialogue at all levels, and to suggest possible solutions, taking into account Norway’s positive experience in social dialogue.
The project is a result of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Implementation of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009 – 2014 between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of Norway, signed on 24 April 2014, and funded within the framework “Decent work and tripartite dialogue”. The project was designed and approved with the help of UATUC, who was the initiator of the project.
